I can't think of a better way to make me not want to drive a car than power it with electricity.

Wheres the revs, roaring induction and sweet exhaust note!

I think it'd just put me of driving :mrcool:

EVs aren't the future (my personal opinion) you still need to generate the electricity.

Hydrogen Fuel Cells FTW!

Like this beasty.

I am a full on petrol head, but i'd rather drive a fuel cell car in the week, so there is still enough fuel at a sensible price to mean i can can some fun at the weekend. :mrcool:

In a perfect world, we would all be driving petrol cars forever and ever, and all the polar bears would move to penguin island.

but i don't even know what to think, batteries and catalytic converters are made in polluting countries, while here we are clean driving our v8 hybrids and buying carbon offsets.

And I can't believe we still don't have hover cars!!

I don't thin hydrogen cars ARE the future neither are the current crop of hybrid Priuses (priusii..?)

I think all cars will go electric, generated by renewable sorces. plus the batteries in the future will be much more efficient.

On another note, the first BINI electric cars were built by the movie bod who made the rehash of the Itallian Job for the scene in the underground.

electric cars are a load of non sense. yea they are clean when running. but they still had to be made somewhere, causing pollution and think where the electricity comes from. lol most likely a poluting power station.

its all a load of rubbish hyped up by the media and government idiots who dont have a clue.

See above...
Hybrid cars are the worst, the pollution it caused in the manufacturing is hidden from the buyer to make them think that they are buying green... it's a load of tosh!

Leccie cars aren't the answer, unless the leccie generated to power them comes from a sustainable & clean source.

Hydrogen cells require hydrogen & oxygen. Generating & storing both requires a lot of electricity. :mrcool:

There is no answer. Yet.

And yes, I think the BINI is pretty....

The Eleccy cars are less about moving to a renewable energy source and more about moving a technology that produces less and less emissions, in an effort to kerb smog, etc in cities.

Also, America (and probably other countries like Indian, Japan and China) are worried about their oil dependency, and so moving to eleccy cars means that the energy will come 'in-house'.

Yeah I know. They're aiming for the wrong target.
