Hi, I was thinking, when driving my mini it has felt like it has wanted to flip over when turning a corner, but has anyone flipped their mini? I have read people have flipped theirs by clipping the pavement whilst going round corners, but has anyone flipped them without clipping anything? just going round a corner?

Thanks

Dale

:- are you saying you want to???

I'm guessing it's possible but the fact that they're so low....e.g. the centre of gravity is so low, it would be very very difficult!! What do you mean that "it feels like it wants to flip over"????

What wheels/suspension and speeds are you taking when cornering????

Most certainly not wanting to flip it over, just wondering if it would happen when cornering quickly.

I've got standard suspension, and I think 10" alloys.

And I mean it seems to learn a bit.

Thanks

you can! i have been given a mini that was fliped, aparently without much effort either, it just hit a kangaroo. if you do feel like its gona flip then get a roll cage because there is an indent in the roof that goes around the drivers seat. and that would hurt quite a bit

I think he's trying to say if you take a corner too fast or your suspension is knackered or your wheels are knackered, you COULD flip your Mini.

My Mini can take corners at unbelievable speeds, quicker than any other car I see. But she does have some rather wide wheels and my suspension is pretty good.

Also, the indent in the roof is because it is so flimsy, it isn't braced by anything some if it rolled onto the roof, it would pretty much cave in.

wasn't your fault... You were behind the wheel, you had all control, you went too fast, you crashed..

I was behind the wheel, I had control, I wasn't going to fast as the lady in-front turned off so had to slow down anyways.

Anyways, back to it.

I think it is quite obvious, that a roll-bar can improve your chances here!
(Don't like a full cage without helmet and H herness + correct seat)

Cheers,
Jan

Mine can handle the corners well, just on some stiffened suspention and some 12's.
