i have a 2000 reg cooper mpi,and ive noticed that the battery ive got is now completely flat,so i want to get a new one,
so should i get the same battery ive got, or get a bigger better one?i fancy geting a type 072 i think, will that fit in
battery box and would it harm my starter motor, alternator etc etc. thanks "MOZ"

No idea, just go to Halfords and find out...

Your looking around £70-£80ish...

I have fitted a Peugeot 306 Diesel Heavy Duty battery (Can't remember the number, but its a Halfords one).

Its a tight fit, but it has double the cranking amps.

075 is the pug 306 diesel one.
I've just bought a 063 and thaat fits fine with loads of room the spare. Buy from a motorfactors too - Halfords was near enough £90 and I got my new battery for £30!

I fitted an "096" style battery in my Sportspack Mpi some time ago and this has proven to be a major success. This is the battery used in the diesel Peugeot 307 so has plenty of oomph.

See previous entry on the subject.

Kwack.

well I dont use the standerd battery which is listed as it is too small for a mpi imo so i upgraded to a varta 440 amps (from 260 original) but i know some1 who is running just over 700 amps in an mpi XD
