Its a deltamini Japanese job isnt it?

There doesnt look to be that large a bore for the majority of the exhaust and the can on the end is the rear box anyway. Maybe not to everyones taste though.

probably is 1293, there is literally no details on it :| its gonna get stripped down next year so i can find out what it is actually running

and yeh 3" was big and loud lol and i was going to get the carbon one but then found this one so decided to get it

whats your full spec then? I seem to find a head i want and then change my mind so not sure now what to get lol was going morspeed but heard a lot of bad things so not gonna now

here's my current spec though its still being built!!!!

i have a new cooper S as a day to day drive, but my passion is my 2001 rover mini cooper with sportspack

in 2004 i had my car to the stunning cooper works garage and had the 90 bhp (wink!!) kit fitted.

then because rover cant build cars the rot set in (bad times!!!)
so for the last 2 years its been in a blokes garage being pretty much fully hand built, the spec when its complete is as follows:

PERFORMANCE!!!!

-John cooper works 90bhp tunning kit (stage 3 head, 1.5,1 roller tipped rocker, exhaust & manifold, performance inlet manifold, sparkplugs)
-fitted an SW5 profile camshaft but removed it because of fueling issues have now had a mini speed fast road cam fitted
-double valve spring set + new followers
-10 row oil cooler w/smaller filter, braided hoses etc
-vernier duplex timing chain
-73.5mm omega pistons
-over bored block
-84mm stroke ni-tempered, wedge bladded crankshaft
-burlen throttle body54mm
-ignition leads
-SC/CR gears
-3.2-1 final drive 108mph @ 6000RPM!!!!!!
-drop gears
-new clutch
-new steering rack
-pipercross induction kit
-quick shift
-gaz fully adjustable coil overs
-EBC grooved & vented discs, standard calipers w/green stuff pads
-twin fuel tank

1430cc

EXTERIOR!!!

-bodywork fully de-seamed except roof
-de-bumpered
-wheel arches modified to get rid of the bumps & dints where the bumpers & seams dropped in!
-fog light moved and fabricated into the bum of the car!!!
-bodywork in RED
-roof in silver
-sports pack wheel arches in silver
-bonnet in silver (cooper stripes removed because too many people use them on cars that arent cooper!!)

INTERIOR!!!

-standard black/silver milenium edition sports pack interior
-show cage
-dvd player
-speakers uprated + re-wired
-center console & arm rest to match the seats

it's not finished yet but what done so far is stunning!!!

will be having a new injection system fitted when he's done!!!
hoping for around 120bhp maybe more!!!!

i have spent about £13,000 to press and still need the ecu changing which is going to set me back around £1,200 with a professional custom set up map
then i'm getting some yoko A048R tires

and eventually i may 16v it!!! to push about 170bhp :w00t:

i have some photo's up at this thread http://www.theminifo...howtopic=107900

you got any other pics?????

LOL that is a monster spec! have got pics but not on work computer and what ECU are you going for? emerald?

also did you change the cam yourself? want to change mine but can't really afford to take my car off the road for a long period of time atm

might just get a minisport head and either roller tip or full roller rockers on it and leave it for a while as im 18 in jan so insurance pretty harsh still

get some up when you can yeah!!!

erm the only work i can really do is stuff like the throttle body's etc, i've stripped stuff further before but want pro's working on my baby!!!!

yeah i paid £2,000 for it when i had the works kit fitted and i was 18/19!!!! but it was valued at 9k

the sw5 cam knackered my engine so i wouldn't advise that, tho it could just have been me. but the guy who fitted it said the imfo for timing it up was a touch vague and when he spoke to them sempt to struggle to get any proper imfo
i'm hoping the one i have on now will be much better

i'm going for the settup from specialist components, i spoke to them briefly @ mini in the park, told them my situation. i want to use there setup just incase i want to go 16v!

yeye fair enough, ive done all my own work thus far, like swapping the steering rack, throttle body, exhaust, suspension etc but anything major it will go to a specialist :)

the insurance quote ive had listing all the mods came to £1200 with elephant on the 10 month booster thing so hopefully go with that :teehee:

I want to get more power out of mine in a few years but cant afford to insure it, run it and splash the cash until i get a decent payrise lol

is the twin cam 16v kit for mpi mini's aswell? or would you have to do major work to get it to fit?

the twin cam runs an injection system thats off of a bmw motor bike so yes its an injection but no its not the mpi rover injection system thats all done away with!!!!

and its quite a big conversion but no body mods are needed!!

to be honest i just want the most powerfull mpi (rover unit) injection mini there is as i know without having a Z-cars mini its never going to be the fastest in the world, but to me there kit cars not mini's!!!

yeah the insurance thing is a joke really!!!!!

i paid 2K for my works mpi and 2K for my cooper S mini!!!! but i need it because im obssessed with the bloody things!!! :P

:) dont blame ya... mini's become a way of life :teehee:

so with the twin cam thing, if i bought the kit i could pretty much just bolt it on and get it mapped or would a bit of work be needed? what about alarm aswell :S lol

and i know what you mean about the z-cars mini's... i would love a vtec one though :P

yeah lol there silly quick, i've seen a few on the 1/4 mile and there blistering!!!!

i'm not totally sure whats needed with the ecu but i know that specialist componants do a kit that has fully instructions!!! but i dont really understand the fueling/mapping so wont be trying it myself

i think thats the way i'll go as i E-mailed vmax scart about supercharging it and they said they thought that the compression would be an issue on the 1430cc :teehee: so thats that idea down the pan!!!!
but i shall be aiming to keep the minis origional injection system!!!!
