And use the SPI's complete cooling system!!

1275cc A+ engines don't have a bypass between head & pump.
The 998's cooling siystem doesn't work sufficiently without that bypass.
(The SPI uses a different bypass)

For the starter conversion, look here:

There's no need to alter the complete wiring :D

What sort of gearchange does the clubman have remote or rod ?

may do, as it'll be a bit of a fiddle putting the rod change gear change in if it's a remote currently...

Thanks but i think i'll still use the 1275 and all the ancillaries i should be able to get hold of the bits i need to do the conversion.

sure I would add up the costs, what do I want it for, how much can i do myself. you did say you had little knowledge i would bear that in mine as well. not that you start and after a few mishaps give up and be weed off.

Spoke to a old friend yesterday, he's worked and had loads in the past, and would love the chance to do the job, i shall work with him and try and pickup and much knowhow as possible. know i know it's possible i'm think i will go over the clubby shell strip it down and get a full respray done get it looking it's best and go from there. cheers.
