cheers thanks for that i will have a look someone else said the same as you so i think i will start there.Prob a fault with the coolant temp sensor under the inlet manifold or check the wiring to it as it can wear through on the inlet manifold and bulkhead, this could give the ecu a false reading and poor cold starting, high emmissions etc

Hi, You emailed me, (the old git), however for months I have not been able to get on the site because it would not accept mypassword. Sooooo tonight I've changed myself to Racing Gold, our race colour for next year. Answer is same as above. Did one last week, same symptons. Unscrewed sensor underneath inlet manifold and replaced it. Started sraight away, no probs sincecheers thanks for that i will have a look someone else said the same as you so i think i will start there.Prob a fault with the coolant temp sensor under the inlet manifold or check the wiring to it as it can wear through on the inlet manifold and bulkhead, this could give the ecu a false reading and poor cold starting, high emmissions etc

I've had the same problems with my SPi in the past, coolant temp sensor changed and all fixed!
