Ok then this is nowhere near as dodgy as it sounds!!

I've been given some Halfords Vouchers and want to use them to get some bits for my mini, I've also got a trade car so the prices won't be too bad.

Anyway, to help the chap(or chapess) behind the counter find the correct 7.5" discs and pads for my car I could do with the reg no of a car that would have been equiped with these as standard!!

If you could help me that would be fantastic :D

If you don't want to post your reg on a open forum, pls PM me

Thanks

Shifty!!!

You don't need the registration for that system, you can look up the make/model/year of the car. I used to work for Halfords about a year ago and can kinda remember that system, although it'll probably be more accurate with a registration. Just saying, you can do it without. :D

I'd be suprised if they could get you some, even if they can, be prepared to wait. :o

I dont get it. :D

Why cant you just say - PLease give me a set of disks and pads for a 1971 mini cooper S 1275cc

or a 1973 Mini Clubman 1275 GT or a 1968 mini cooper S 1275.

They are all the same disks and pads etc. Do halfords only work on Reg numbers or chassis numbers?

We dont have halfords here. Lucky in some ways obviously.

Most part counters like to have a reg no to ensure they supply you with the correct parts, my '72 cooper rep was never fitted with 7.5" discs so if I give them his reg no then I will just confuse them!!

If I give them the reg of a car that was originally supplied with 7.5" discs then it should make life easier for everyone!!

hey mate halfords worker here lol yerr the system can just be looked up on manually, e.g car make ---->car model---->year old car and it brings up the results with disk/pad options for the year of car or drum brakes if fitted. hope it helps.
