I keep telling my friend not to get it because it's ridiculously expensive here. around $800 Canadian (442.27 GBP), i think that's the one with the slide out keyboard though.

But it does look very cool

I have the less girly version and they are really good. Dare I say it I actually like the windows platform on it!

I must admit I'd be really tempted to get the one with the slidey out keyboard, and might still upgrade. It's just tooo slow to type out txt messages and stuff with the on screen keyboard, and too easy to press the wrong button. Will keep it for a good month though to see how I get on with it. Looks like the guys over on XDA are just getting to grips with doing stuff with it, so there might be some cool mods to come out soon.

Don't pick the wrong one up or you may find things you don't want to know....

My phone is brill. It makes calls & it texts. It doesn't do piccies or email or binternet or anything. And I can use it as a weapon in an emergency.

And I already let her look at my phone if she wants anyway. Just wish she wouldn't keep leaving her porn on there!

Me and Neil were looking at phones and I found the touch diamond...then Neil decided he wanted it too

You guys will be happy to hear that HTC are bringing out the HTC Touch HD soon I believe it's called which is pretty much an upgrade of the touch diamond, looks a lot more like the iPhone, is much smoother and has a few more features than the diamond. I'm gonna wait it out and then probably get a completely different phone

The Touch HD is the upgrade to the Touch, the Touch Diamond Pro succeeds the Touch Diamond.

There's a new HTC touch phone that is coming out, it's not on the market yet and it is superior to the touch diamond whilst not being the direct successor to it!!!

It does look good. I'm currently waiting for the next clutch of phones with DVB-T receivers, freeview on your mobile!

The main difference between the Touch Diamond and the Touch HD is the form factor; the Touch HD has a much bigger screen and is, therefore a much more inconvenient phone. There are fewer buttons on the HD and other features too, but for most the choice between the two comes down to the desired form factor above anything else.

Similarly the Touch Diamond Pro is not really an upgrade to the Touch Diamond, they're identical in everyway except one; the Pro has a hardware full qwerty keyboard and is 4-5mm thicker. Again, preference is down to individual choice of size vs keyboard or not.

I love my Touch Pro, but am wondering if I want to go back to the larger form-factor next time??

I have the HTC touch dual, its a good phone, but if i was able to choose my phone again, i wouldn't choose it. if that makes sense

i have a touch diamond!, ive not done anything differnt to it yet ??!?!?

can somebody give me simple instructions as to how to upgrade the rom ?!!? if this will make it faster.
