I was under the impression that an iPod just mirrored what was in iTunes. So when you plug it into a computer that has your current iTunes library saved on it, the iPod should upload it all. :D

That's what I thought too.

The only other way of doing it is enable for disk use and save each music file on it, but then you'd have to use double the space to store everything.

That's only if you have it set to sync when you connect, I don't use it because it constantly changes what's on my ipod having only got an 80gb ipod and about 200gb of music it gets confused and just throws random tracks on till it's full!

I think wolfy your into downloading everything you had again (legally of course)

Hold down YOur center Button, The main one in the middle for 64 seconds, it will give you the ipod apple screen and will reset it, This helped me When all my music Magically Dissapeared, a few Artists were Corrupt, But It Saves having to 'purchase' all of them again.

10 seconds should do it, I don't have the patience to wait over a minute! :D

iPods are tougher/more reliable than you'd think!! I once fell over onto the corner of a bench (very hard) with my 30gb Video in my pocket. It put a mahoosive dent in the back, and wouldnt switch on, it just made a load of scraping noises. About 2 months later I took it apart to discover the hard drive had a dent in it. So I stuck a screwdriver inside it and prised the dent out, and it works perfectly to this day!! And one of my mates lost his iPod for 3 days in a patch of mud outside, he charged it and it worked perfectly!!

Now you know!! :)

Im never going to the dark side and getting an ipod

When i was in school or college, cant remember, these were all the rage, and all my mates got them. Then within a few months the battery was carp and they had to send off for replacements etc

Never >_<
