What with all this rain recently, I've been using my car around country lanes and it's filthy. There's a mud coloured tinge to the wheels/tyres, the bodywork and the windscreen but......I kinda like it! Is that wrong? does anyone else like it when their car (mini or not) looks like it's run a rally?

I like it because it hides the rust! but then again I always feel bad for driving it through town and wondering if people think I don't take good care of her .

That was last winter because I didn't wash it for about a month, lol. Although it did help cover up the banana paint job.

Must be a peugeot thing! When I had my 205 I honestly think it got washed annually at most and I only ever used washing up liquid!!
I like dirty 4x4s! they just look stupid when they're all clean and shiny. When I was in the states this summer we saw a couple of jeep pick-ups in florida that had been spray painted to make it look like they were really muddy!

I hate my mini being dirty, I much prefer it shiny even if it does reveal my awful paint job!

I deliberately try to get my polo dirty. I aim for mud and puddles instead of going round them >_<

I think this is just due to the lack and urge of/for a landrover.

Dirty cars look used and abused, how cars should look instead of shiny and hardly used.

How you like your car is totally your call, but just make sure you keep your wheel arches and other places clean and clear or little bubbles of rust will be popping up all over the place.

Sand, grit, dirt, mud are really good at holding moisture up to your metal.

Needless to say I like my cars squeaky clean!
