why what ?

covering the whole car then rubbing it all off leaving the filler in all the low parts and imperfections in panels . and a dark colour so the low bits once filled will be clearly visable.

Sounds like you've been watching american car programmes!

Really no need to fill the whole car, if you do, it will be a whole load wobblier than if you'd just filled the damaged/ bent areas.

Most of the decent filler is made by U-POL, we use Upol easy sand stuff, its alrite but can be a little pinholey at times but is pretty cheap.

well after its rubbed down the whole car wont be filled just the parts that have imperfections . May be sounds mad and alot of waste and rubbing but at least even the smallest marks are then filled . 90% will be bare metal after the rubbing down anyway . Just want to get all the pitting smooth .

i wouldnt use that spray putty as it cracks up after time best to just fill the dents u can see an feel then 2k prime the whole car and block it down you will see the hi&lo spots then just rework these bits again then reprime remember its 99% prep 1% paint lol
