I would like to see someone crashing a mini into a load of zombies.

It's been done in the 1974 horror flick "The Living Dead At A Manchester Morgue" (aka 'Let Sleeping Corpses Lie').

>_<

Zombies AND Mini's??? I'm off to blockbusters right now!!! >_<

You'll have more luck with Amazon: -

Whoo!! I'm havin' that, I don't care if it terrible (most likely for an early 70's zombie flick)

You'll be surprised as it's actually pretty good. The heroes drive around in an island blue MKII Morris Mini.

Anyway a film that talks to the owners too would be good. So a nice mix of people from youngsters just starting out, families who keep a Mini like the family pet, right up to the OAP's who own a long cherished example.

We took my mother to a Mini show last year and she was amazed at the wide range of owners there, especially the happy looking OAP's driving their Minis.

Sounds brilliant! But I don't think zombies will really fit in to a FACTUAL mini documentary unless.... There is a section on the mowing down of zombies but some how i think not >_<

Well you could use clips from these famous films like 'The Italian Job' and how the Mini was used in lots of ways from a gold heist to a horror film.

But I doubt the film companies would give clearance, or at least not cheaply anyway.

Well that's the kind of thing that he's looking to put in there as part of the main focus.

That's part of the problem their goin' to want a hell of a lot of money which isn't an option and it would also take months to get clearance even on the off chance that they said he could for free

our club has been asked to take part (next year) in a mini 50 documentary (prov called 50 years in the making) by real-life tv (channel5)
very exciting....
what they are doing is talking to us about our experiences with the cars, going out in mini convoy to see the reaction of passing motorists, parking (with permission) in busy locations to chat with general public and going to a new mini dealership to see whats on offer and to see if the new mini experience matches up to the classic one.

that would be ideal for you!

That does sound like a cohesive story that you could realistically make.

How about the story from a Mini's perspective from being bought (opportunity to interview the previous owner about their Mini adventures). Some restoration (look at the d-i-y capabilities and vast parts & accessory market that supports the car like no other). That can lead into getting involved with clubs going on runs and to shows, drag strips, hill climbs etc to look at the extreme end and smoking tyres for a bit of excitement.

I'm sure our very own southy would be quite happy to lend his services for that! :ermm: :)

That would make a really good documentary! Although we do have a problem in finding someone who is just buying a mini and also the time scale

That sounds perfect shame someone's using the idea though as I'm sure the people who are hopefully going to commission this will probably know about that by now :)
