rite...

clutch was working fine but all of a sudden one morning it decided to break itself

it will not change gear unless i slam the clutch to the floor, and feels extremley light

also when idling in gear tries to stall a little,

getting into gear is particuarly difficult when putting it into gear after stopped at traffic lights, quite embarrasing too. haha

anyway i thought maybe i could adjust clutch cable to pull clutch farther??

any ideas...

would appreciate help asap

thanks... andy

Have you checked the clutch fluid reservoir level?

If it's dropped suspect the clutch slave cylinder seal to be the culprit.

Could be any number of things, but as above first thing to check is the hydraulics.

Re-fill the master and with the aid of an assistant, bleed the clutch system.

If you are still experiencing problems after that ( and you are getting full travel on the clutch arm ) then it's likely to be mechanical... possibly the clutch release bearing which may have collapsed...

Half full? It should be full to the brim!

Are you looking at the right fluid reservoir?

This is the slave cylinder, so check there's no leaking brake fluid around it: -

yea definately the right place, its down bout an inch 1/2 from top, cant see any obvious leaks round that area. if theres still fluid in it, event though its down a little bit, it should still work...

correct?
