I think it boils down to one thing..
Do you need to rely on it for day to day transport.. ?
If not go for it,
If you do, and you havn't got the money to buy a reliable well maintained one, and keep it maintained, then don't

Or persuade someone else in your family to buy one and say you'll 'look after it' for them. I think my mum wants to buy one so I'm workin on her hahaha!

my Girlfriend didn't really like them when she started seeing me but after i put her on the insurance and let her loose on the roads she was hooked!
If you get it right (i had to rebuild mine to get it spot on) then they are the closest thing to a street legal Go-Kart!
Bring on the roundabouts!
oh, and get them on here so they can ask us lot questions!

I wasn't ever into minis whatsoever.
hatchet told me have a drive in the cooper he had at the time, then took me to southern mini days. I tried to buy a car on the second day!

I wasn't too sure about getting a road Mini for various reasons (unrelaible, noisy, small, dodgy in a crash, rust etc etc) but then I got an insurance quote. £1300 cheaper to insure then a 1.4 106, and I know which one is quicker
