my carb is off at the mo and i have that dimple too. what are peoples thoughts, leave the stat in or change it to a fixed jet?

I think this subject is really interesting, I was looking at this topic after posting my own thread in the hope I would find some info about waxstats and jets etc. as in my own thread (just search my user name "chrscmbs" you can see that I have a red cable tie with a spring attached (bit of a bodge) and it was suggested to change the waxstat to a fixed jet... and now I have found this.

Hello, Just where should the spring go from my Choke cam lever instead of the red cable tie as shown in the picture below?

I'm not sure where the spring goes... I would look but the only Waxstat carb (converted) I own is on our Spitfire and my son is out with the car. I'll see where it attaches tomorrow when he's home.

Shifty, feel free to send me money anytime. I am not too proud! I ended up using U.S. pennies for the couple of jets I converted.
