Its a boot liner kit from Roberts. But ive replaced the board the Sub is mounted on for a Plywood piece for obvious reasons...

Have you got pins on your boot? What are those bits in the corner of you boot hole? near where the cable attatches?

Thats the Alarm switch...

looks a little different to the origional which I broke. I had to buy a replacement (Universal) one from halfrauds.

Im affraid to say that if u get the bass from the sub loud enough so u can hear it in the drivers seat it will be damaging the 6x9's and if u can't get it loud enough whats the point in having a sub in the boot. It could be u can hear the sub u just don't now it's coming from the sub because of the lack of direction the bass notes produe, so u could be thinkin there coming from the 6x9's. I would set the sub up with only the front speakers running and the sub so u can hear and set it up rite. because u don't want to have the 6x9's running so u think/can't hear the sub and keep turning it up thinking it can't be that high if u can just hear it and end up clipping it.

Good suggestion Scarface.
However, Ive already done it.
I turned the speakers off, and had only the sub on. And Couldnt even hear it at all as its not in a sealed enclosure...

Im afraid its poop, So Im going to get some more carpet, recover the piece ive distroyed cutting the hole in for the sub. And Im just going to go with a normal Enclosure.

yeah and don't use it till you do as you may damage the sub. When its working in a proper enclosure you'll be throwing you 6x9's in the bin just as soon as the start to crackle because the subs f**ked em!

On the subject of sub boxes, can they be in any shape? If possible i would like quite a thin one with just enough room for the sub to fit in but it just be long so that it has the correct size for the sub. Is this possible or does it have to be a box?

I think it's suggested that the rear of the box should be atleast 1" away from the subs magnet.

apparently the less large flat areas a sub box has the better as they are less likely to resonate at high volumes, so the more complicated the shape the better, of course it would be a complete nightmare to work out the volume which is why most people don't bother.
