Well, mines a 1 piece. I have never had a 2-piece front so I cant really say 1 way or the other.
BUT, I cant see how it could be as easy as this to get at the engine with a 2-piece front end. I will try n find a (small because of dial-up) pic.

with a two piece you don't have to flip up the whole front end just to check the oil.
You wouldn't have to replace all of it if it got damaged either
I'd say my favourite mod on my mini is my Maniflow exhaust closely followed by my sound system
But the thing that was most worthwhile was getting it on Gerald Dale's rolling road!
almost a third more power is not bad!

1/3 more power came from the stage one plus having it rolling roaded
actually it might be more than that. what's the flywheel bhp of a standard 1989 998? about 35bhp?
well mine was 55 afterwards so that's like . . . more than a third!
Can someone work it out for me? Carp at maths!

I think standard 998s are about 40bhp. 55 is a good figure

Cained a Punto off the line from some traffic lights along the sea front! I've also left two chavs who were revving up their modded Metro eating my dust!
