Hi Guys im new to the forum and new to the mini scene.

Only had the car for about two weeks and ive got my first problem. My mini is a 1987 Mini Mayfair on a F Plate. Its the 998cc.

Basicaslly my indicators have stopped working. My hazards still work and the flasher unit in the engine bay on the right hand side seems to be working fine. I have replaced all my fuses in the engine bay and cleaned the terminals on all the connections.

I didnt noticed this when i first got my car but there is a wire hanging down under the dash board not connected to anything? The wires all appear to be present from the stalk inside the cowling.

Is there anything else inside the car i shouls look for? Ican not hear any flash unit noises from inside the car around the dash?

Help please its driving me mad.

the hazards and indicator have their own seperate flasher units..... There is another flasher unit underneath the dash (by your right knee) chances are it has broken. it is not the same as the hazard flasher however so make sure you ask for an indicator flasher unit.

I have seen the unit under the dash (silver) i will get a new one can these be bought from halfords or is it worth looking elsewhere?

What is the bigger unit Pink in colour?

My indicators stopped working, (the hazards worked fine) and it turned out to be a fault with the hazzard switch. try replacing the hazard switch

Just taken the flasher unit from the engine bay and swaped it with the one under the dash and the indicator have now stared working. Job done. All i need is a new flasher unit.

Hi Guys im new to the forum and new to the mini scene aswell

had the car for about a month and ive got my first problem

on the right indicator a little yellow piece of plastic has come lose and appears to be broken, its now in an L shape, is it broken or can i just not work out how to put it back in place.

its the part that keeps the main beam from coming on.

funny enough i just bought a 2 pin flasher unit from halfrauds yesterday for £4.96
