Some of you may know that around this time last year we had a building robbed by some Gypo's/Travellers, who stole £2000 worth of equipment, they then came back the next night and we managed to confront them, they then proceeded to run over a car with their 4x4. After this through out the year i have been pretty nervous about this building and various precautions have been taken, including putting in a new steel door. The moke is currently in the building for storage over the Chilly months.
However,
I returned tonight to home from a 100 mile round trip, and my dad tells me we've had some visitors!!...heart sunk..Earlier today 7:30PM Neighbour whos drive sort of joins onto the drive of the building see's a Vehicle, he then Turns his car and Puts his head lights on Full, its a typical Gypo Pickup, some individuals darkley dressed enter the car, the neighbour drives up to house to ring us. Father then drives down the road to the building to met by 3 Fast moving vehicles going up the lane. He gets their luckily no damage or anything...
Ive rung the Police, they didnt really seem that initerested, however they have dealt with this kinda situation very well in the past..
SO i just wanted to write this to calm myself down and compose my thoughts...
i might take a gentle drive down to the building around midnight..

Doesn't have to be motion sensors.Building is not alarm it is pretty impractical to put any motion sensors in, too many animals living in there..
I was kinda thinking of sleeping in the bushes with a mobile phone
How many ways in to the building? Trigger on each entrance point (door) and a BIG siren, see if they want to stick around with that going off.
The bigger the siren, the more people who are going to want to come and see what's going on.

just a thought, but couldn't you get an alarm box with an intermitent flash blue LED and wire it up to a battery.
obviously won't actually do anything alarm wise, but it might deter them if they decide to come back. or ofcourse if there is power in the garage fit an alarm, if buget doesn't allow just the flash box, and a security flood light?
hope they don't come back...

Jesus christ that scares me!!!!I would count yourself very lucky, me and my dad had our business broke in to for the third time of the year last night. After having a lot of security put into place after the last time they still got in due to building work at the back of us, we weren't so lucky this time they realised we had them on camera so they torched the place! So as well as having a mini to fix tomorrow we have meetings with the insurance company and have to try and salvage what paperwork, stock, computers ect. we can. The part that really takes the *yellow human water* is the firemen were more concerned than the police were!
