That particular one is fibre glass, never fitted one myself but I would be interested to know how it's attached etc, and if it's possible to do without flipping?

Check either ABS or TDK, much much cheaper & better quality.

I would really think about going flippy before you do it.

You will have to cut your inner wings, install brace bars, sort out how you will secure it, where you'll place your side repeaters, how you want your bonnet etc. also is yours an SPi?

There are a few people on here who have flip fronts including myself.. Read throught their project threads and decide if its what you want to do..

Mine is steel not fibre glass.

Sounds harder but it is rewarding when finished.

Is yours SPi? or carbed?

Mine is an Spi so I had the added bonus of finding a place to mount the ECU and electric fan.

Roo did you fit yours yourself or get a bodyshop to do it? If the latter, may I ask how much it cost?

you make it yourself from replacement panels you can buy such as wings and front panel ect, or you could get it from someone who has chopped there front end off to go fibreglass if they do it neat enough the cutting

This last one has been done by steve (crocks) which has only costed me parts and paint.. paint being £300.

When it was originallay done through terrys (rozzer) old work it cost me about £2000 parts, labour, paint... That was for front lined up, welded together. inner wings cut, brace bars fitted, plans on how it would flip and how the bonnet would be.. in my case was kept standard, securing the front down, new radator and electric fan installed (damaged from crash) outer sills on both sides replaced, both doors reskinned.

The thing i like about mine is other than the arches being cut and the fastners being seen it looks completely standard.. when the old nuts rusted it hid well against the body colour so you wouldn't have known from a distance.

The steel one was made.. all the panels were lined up on the car pinned/clamped in place and welded.
