that is way to much 2000 :D
i think i will go for fiberglass another thing is i get the hinge thing could i use gas struts like the ones on car boots to releive the weight on the hinges , also how do u secure it, i dont like the straps on the side is there any alternative.

I think the way I'm doing mine is fairly discreet...

Hinges mounted onto the front subframe as normal, then the front of the bonnet is being held down with normal quick release bonnet pins. The wings are held to the Apanels with small rubber hooks that will be on the inside of the wings, and it's all being locked down with locking bonnet pins on top of the bonnet, at each corner at the windscreen end.

hi mate im at the minute doing my second one which is a steel one its fitted and just been painted but i have attached mine at the front with bonnet racing pins through the tear drop mounting holes and fitted two dzus fasteners either side so it supports at the a panel and i fabricated two brackets in the bulkhead to stop the wings flapping about and to make sure its just as strong but when i fitted my first fibre glass front end i got it from mini spares and it was alot of hard work sanding down and getting it to fit but once the shape was right attaching wasnt that bad good luck anyway
