Hi all, anyone has template for rear door card? My rear door cards are totally damaged from water intrusion and I can't make a template from it.

I have a rear door card at hand from my '93 Mini Tahiti that I'm restoring.
I've drawn it up in visio and made a PDF to print from it (printed onto 8 pages of A4 paper (with overlaps) so you can print it out full size, arrange the papers (by aligning the crossed boxes as a reference), secure them with tape and cut out your full size template.

As my doorcard is a combination of cloth fabric and imitation leather being seperated by 8mm piping/channeling I've also drawn their positions (and the lines where there was no foam backing behind the cloth resulting in a straight "tucked-like" line where the cloth was gleued to the board directly) in the drawing aswell. This layout (of channel en tucks) will differ between the several editions, but the dimensions will remain the same from MK3 and above to my knowledge.

Example: Rear_doorcard.png

Drawing in PDF:  link (8 overlapping pages of A4)

Drawing in visio:  link

As there was also a request for the front doorcard, I've drawn one up to:

(N.B.: the example below is scaled down and therefor look rough, but the files linked to are full size and crisp)

Front_door_card_printed_on_9x_A4_pages.p

This one includes the slots for the Door Card clips and the angled door puller. For older versions (MK3 with horizontal puller and screw fastened door cards) leave these slot out. (Door Lock Cover and Door Opening Handle holes are to be used regardless of the version (as long as it is NOT for an innocenti as these use different door Opening Handles).

Comments/feedback on this drawing is more than welcome (be gentle as I'm only a novice hobbyist if it comes to technical drawings or computer based drawing in a whole).

Hi Johnmar, thanks a lot for the great help and taking effort in creating the template. Been looking for one but to no avail. This is great stuff and this thread deserved to be pinned.

Reduced to silhouette and necessary cutouts (warning: only one hole for a handle!). For example for having aluminium doorcards, thats what i used it for.
