as you can tell from the title^^^^
im in awe that the power mr H can get from a 1.6 naturally aspirated.

its easily summed up in 1 word ...... immense :(
i might post up some pics to share my new object of love
its a frost white 1991 vtec and it cost me less than half the amount that i have spent on my project mini :-

i just need a few little bits for it and it will be puuuurrrrrrfect.

all in all then i would say i have had a super smashing brilliantly fantastic uber amazing day

thats what the 1293 is for :dontgetit:
i love the power that kicks in at 5500 rpm its awesome
plus as it is on the car it would make quite a formidable track monster :(
and actually thinking about it the rex and the mini are pretty similar :-
both are white, both have two usable seats (buckets in the mini, japanese midget style rear seats in the rex) :-
both cost a lot to insure, both are incredibly loud, both handle like a gokart and they are both mine :dontgetit:

Nice one. I love CRXs, might get one myself when the insurance is a bit more sensible.

i had a look underneath when i was at work today (im a techie)
really wish i hadnt >_<
at first when i drove the car it seemed like the front wheels stayed turned when you exited a corner
i thought this might be due to low k.p.i (king pin axis inclination) it affects the caster which affect how quickly your wheels return to straight ahead.
that might have been caused by the massive offset on the wheels.
and i also noticed that under heavy acceleration it pulled ever so slightly to the left.

turns out my o/s tre (track rod end) is shagged
both gaiters are split but only the o/s has play in it

anyhoo asked at honda and they wanted to rape my wallet for about 40 quid each ^_^
then asked at a local motor factors..............

...... 13 quid :P

they will be fitted by lunch time tomorrow
:)

oh and yes vtec is the best invention since life began :P

I used to have a crx when I was 21 the model with the electric hardtop but same engine, the handling was excellent, used to get a touch of oversteer and usually one of the rear wheels to lift on corners. The noise of the vtec is something you never forget, I used to run mine with a pipercross induction and a straight through twin exit powerflow exhaust. the only trouble I had was when the distributor bearings failed, which cost me the best part of £900 to get put right

I sold mine after 2 years to buy a peugeot 106 gti after all reviews raved about how they were the best handling car in the world, I kept it for four month and was glad to see it go lol

its steering to the left though which is the wrong way if torque was the problem
due to the different length driveshafts

and i have noticed now that it seems to be bogging down at low revs, especially under load
it has a decat and straight through zorst and the lambda sensors have been disconnected

any ideas?
