bah!! having major probs with my engine at the mo.

not sure. i think its a fuel problem, it hasnt run right since i bought it.
i put the 1275 carb on as a bodge and it was better, i ran it like that for a while. but decided it was time to sort it, so i put the old carb back on today and its runnig pants.
tick over is fine, bogs down as i open the throttle. think it has the wrong needle in. its an AAC which seems to be for a 998 as far as i can tell.
but unsure which needle to replace it with yet, standard is ABP according to haynes. but for a stage 1 im not sure.

i would think mine is one of the worst on the run.
everything needs doing, i have to shift another one first before i can start on it.
cant wait to pull it apart haha.

i dunno markaboot at least yours is running my engine is in bits in a garage ready for rebuilding i think im going to av to jump in wiv someone but i will still be there.

if its not sorted by saturday and its nice and dry i'll take the bike. but im hoping it wont come to this.
got some bits in the post which will hopefully sort it.

nope because i dont have a light but i have tried by ear. i had it running smoother on the 1275 carb. tried today and it kept giving me a belt i'll static time it when my britpart electronic ignition and my new coil arrives. hopefully before the weekend. i'll play with the fuel mix tomorrow, the colortune indicated it was a little lean.

i hope we get a good fine day i have spoke to local people in passing not on the forum so fingers crossed there should be a few of them turning up i hope...

some bloke stopped me whilst i was shopping the other day and asked me if i was the guy who sorted the runs out and when is the next one...

We wont laugh 2 of us on the run have lost bonnets, both straight after lengthy rebuilds!
