put the new battery in, it turned over twice then nothing. now it wont turn over at all and im just getting a click/clunk.

hoping someone will reply fast so i can fix it in time.

is the starter engaging properly? what else have u touched other than the battery?

erm britpart ignition and new coil too.
fixed it now, bad earth on the battery, nicked another part off the 35 :genius:
fancy goin for a drive john? i'm headin down to the pub in a few mins to see if anyones out tonight.

went for a drive just to check everything was running smoothly, to make sure i didnt break down halfway round tomorrow. cracked up fine after id finished putting everything on. got changed came back out and it ran like a pig. played with the timing and got it running nice again, 5 mins down the road its running like a pig again. pull the choke out some more then it seemed to hit a sweet spot n ran loverly, even after i put the choke back in 5mins later. thought it might have been just a couple of gremlins after not bein run for so long. drove round for a half hour everything fine, apart from the clutch not disengaging properly. 2 mins from home it almost died on me and then wouldnt go into 1st. wont shift down without crunching, so had to time the engine to get it into gear.

some how i dont think im coming tomorrow. haha :shifty:
think the car may be coming off the road sooner than i thought.

time to go to the pub now.

not sure if john filled anyone in.
camp andy (my mate on the yellow quad) is too much of a wimp in the corners and couldnt keep up.
and then after id stopped to let him catch up his exhaust fell off haha :) so we decided to head back.

shame i missed the first one this year, but im still having problems lol.
hope everyone had a good day whilst andy hurt my ears all the way home. straight through pipes are loud!!

There was a group of us coming back and cought up to another Mini (not on the run) that was a bit slower than than us. Got to a T junction and we were turning left, we all braked and Mike was behind me, he likes to brake late and ignores red lights coming on in front of him. He locked up and John i think did the same. Luckily mike didnt hit me and went into the verge a bit, John wasn't so lucky and 'kissed' the back end of mike. One smashed headlight and a bit dented (should pull out) bumper bent up with over riders.

not good! sounds like what i nearly did when my brakes decided to put the fluid on the road instead of in the cylinders. and i was a good distance back with my near miss.

maybe time to implement a couple of run rules, depending on what the rest of the group think?
thats 2 near misses in the last 2 runs. too much effort goes into these cars to be playing bumper cars with them.
by all means play silly beggers and have some fun, but lets keep the minis safe lol.

me and andy noticed that towards the back of the group braking is very difficult to spot.
everyones reaction times add up towards the back leaving very little time and stoping distance.
dnt forget everyones stopping distances are different as well.

possibly also put the slower cars to the front? so nobody gets left behind. i left andy then felt mean n pulled over to let him catch up lol, but by the time he did everyone was long gone.

Thanks Ben for a good day out athough I seem to spend most of it following the wrong person!

Got lost on the way to Caton and then again on way from it too! Basically I went out on my own runs!

Oh well I enjoyed it and will be back again but am going to stay at the front next time.

I'm glad you used one of my pictures for magazine. It makes taking them worthwhile. >_<

Here's the photo's I took:-
