Didn't they make planes / plane parts. because thats what the blue and white logo is. Its a spinning propeller.

basic rule of speed limits in germany are
if you are doing more than 155 on the autobarn (dont know how to spell lol) you will be pulled over
as it is ilegale to modifiy you car from its makers standerd spec in germany
german made sports cars will do well over 155 mph but saloons are resticted
you can not put a sports air filter on with out having a german sva so to speak
very strick rules on performance mod's

No what you're thinking of is TUV. All German cars have to pass TUV (a more stringent MOT), and no modified car will pass TUV unless each part that is modified is TUV approved. A lot of the German New MINI owners struggle with certain exhaust systems that are popular in USA and UK because they're not TUV approved.

Vauxhall had to change the name of the Nova to Corsa in spain as Nova in spanish means Doesn't Work.
