When I go to order my deep dish 13x7 ultralights, I want to get the right tire to have that "stretched tire look"

One thing that sucks about online websites that sell tires and 13x7 ultralights, they never show how the wheels look on a car with the tire package they are selling you, or the exact tire and wheel. They only show the tread of the tire or a straight forward shot of the tire and wheel but, it's usually not the exact same tire you are ordering.

I need to know what tires fit the 13x7s to give it that stretched look. I hate the straight vertical tire wall ultralights that I see on most minis.

I was wondering if you have a stretched 13" tire or not, and if you can post your pics with your tire info and wheel info ;)

This should become a good thread like the "Nothing but 10" wheels" thread :(

oooohh I like those.

yes, please find out the tire size ;) I would aprriciate it.

Those tires have a nice roll in look. I would prefer a little bit more of a stretched look but those look nice.

Also maybe a lower profile?

Any body have any 165/45/13s?

What ever tires are on that light blue-ish Mini I do not like. The side wall (profile) is just to high and the wall is vertical :(

I think I'm going to need 13x8s to acheive the stretched tire look I want.

Who are you refering to by calling them stupid?

Yeah that is almost the look I want. That is a little bit to stretched for me but I like it.

I love the look of those 13x8 Ultralights, superlights, supersports or what ever the heck they are that Minispares-online.co.uk sells with the tire that is mounted on the rim. The pic is in Post #7

This is the look I want but in the ultralight style wheels.

I'm guessing these are 13x8 alleycats?

I was also reading that the 8" wide wheels will wear out your bearings faster then the 7" wide wheels? But would that not matter if you use the same tire you would use on the 7" wheel and use it on the 8" wide wheel?

well obviously not you as its your thread! the guy who posted a pic of a wheel without a tyre on.

13x7 will wear out your bearing quicker than 12's, let alone 13x8's. and i dont think it matters what tyre you use to be honest. it would be advised to get a fully adjustable suspension set up so it can be set up correctly for thr extra strain the wheels will have on it all.

Why so worried about wheel bearings when you are planning on fitting and using tyres outside of the manufacturers recommendations.

Lol, I'm just going by the wide popularity with tire stetching and that is how I know it is possible to stretch a tire.

My suspension on my CE is going to be %100 custom. I'm converting the engine to a Honda ZC D16 and am going to build my own subframe with full adjustable A-arm suspension and ajdustable coil overs. I'm going to use the original spindles sense it is possible to use 9" brake rotors and the calipers from a Honda civic.

That is why I want 13" wheels now, because I will have the power to use them. The handling shouldn't be much different using 13x8 wheels with the same tires such as a 165/50/13, that you would use on a 13x7. The weight should be the only difference in wheels, but the amount of traction should be the same, as the handling might get better or worse.. All depends on how you set up your suspension.

Check out this video on how to stretch a tire onto the rim!

Where did I say it was not possible to do it?

Most people would not use a 165/50 on a 7" rim.
