Where did I say it was not possible to do it?

Most people would not use a 165/50 on a 7" rim.

I just thought you meant it shouldn't be done because the manufacturer doesn't recommend it

See this is where I am lost. I would probably get 13x7s if I can acheive the stretched tire look. But most of the pics of Minis that I have seen with 13x7s don't have that look.. They usually have a vertical wall tire. no "roll in" effect on the tire sidewall.

Would the 165/50s give a 7" wide rim the stretched look?

I did. Manufacturers spend millions testing tyres and coming up with safe recommended limits. It just struck me as funny that you were worried about wheel bearing wear but not exceeding manufacturers recommendations for tyres.

wasn't me worrying about my bearings. if my bearings will last 12 months of everyday driving I won't be complaining. Now if they last like only 3 months I will lol

hmmm.... Those 175/50s look pretty good. the 165/50s might be what I'm looking for.

Anybody got any 165/50s on some deep dish 13x7 ultralights-superlights-minilights?

At the end of the day mate i wouldnt worry about the tyres just get the best for all round weather regardless of pattern and if they look good ... as there the only thing keeping you glued to the road

this is 175/50/R13s on 13 x 7 superlite deep dish, not 165s, but its more of the same style you will get with the ultralites i think

Well where I live, there is no snow, no ice, only rain. but other then that it's mostly sunny, hot, and humid. I can't believe it though, it's going to be 30 degress tonight! Finally winter is showing itself in sunny South Florida lol.

So for the tire, I'm not to worried about staying glued to the road. I think I'm going to go with the 13x7 superlites, and a 165/50 tire because that is probably going to give the look I want. The 175/50s look good but I just want a bit more of the side wall of the tire to be rolled in. but who knows, when it comes time to get my wheels I might want the 175/50s lol.
