I have read the haynes manual (1969-1996 so presume ALL SPI's) and it says that cars with an ECU have an "Anti Theft Alarm System" which is positioned on the interior bulkhead. It doesn't give a wiring diagram, typical haynes!!!
Mine does have a "Black box" in the centre. Is this the alarm?
Also, after connecting all the wires back up in the engine bay, there is 1 wire (Purply/Orange - maybe) which is spare, it is by the horn/ECU/front panel area, is this for the bonnet switch?
Thanks

Further information
There is a red LED light on the 3 dash binnacle, looks like factory fitment, as the binnacle has pressed area for it. I will add the light doesn't come on as yet.
There is also some sort of "siren" attached to the steering column.
As per the haynes manual, it is attached using cable ties?
Does it have a fob, or does it come on automatically when ignition is turned off? My key has nothing on it.
Anybody help?
