There's a car in the mini mag that landed on my door mat this morning with one of these heads on by the way.

Mini World, sorry I get both and couldn't remember which it was and couldn't be bothered to go to my bedroom and check , so I just said "the mini magazine", but now I realise that could be taken to mean Mini Magazine, or one of the two. I've just thumbed through to check the page for you, but it's actually a BMW twin cam head with Mini Speed branding on it, sorry, I only skim read the mag this morning!

those heads look awesome! another company ( i think webcon? or something) makes alloy heads like this now, they dont have seperate ports tho not sure there used for racing becuse of the thermal properties of aluminium, the expansion when it gets hot may cause headgasket failure, correct me if im wrong here i cant think of any reason why else they wouldnt be used, the weight saving must be enormous.

why doesnt someone make an aluminium block too, it would save my back from hurting. :ermm:

for the finished one id give you £100 for sure!

Lots of modern engines user alloy heads and/or blocks. Most of those don't have expansion issues.
