I don't plan to bin the injection gear just replace the engine and keep it injection.
I believe binning will add to my confusion.
I do have a haynes manual.
Well the act of removing and refitting is detailed in the haynes.
to convert the replacement carb engine so that it runs as an injection you will need to fit onto the 'carb' engine in the main these parts from the injection (am sure there are a few extra bits):
flywheel assembly, transfer case, starter (if the one on the carb isnt a pre-engaged type), clutch cover (the 'wok' - again this is because the injections run a verto setup and your replacement engine may/maynot be verto)
distributor + coil
mechanical fuel pump blanking plate..
need to block off the temp sender hole in the head...
may need to block the heater outlet adjacent to #4 plug on the head...
fit the injection manifolds and throttle body
final drive the same as the SPi? - if not your speedo will mis-read
um...that should cover the main bits
