Hello,

I have been fitting a pair of new KAD 4-pots this evening. When I ordered them I specced the type needed for a solid disc.

Now they are on the car, the disc does not sit in the centre of the caliper - the outside pistons are much closer to the disc surface than the inside pistons. Does anyone know if this is normal? Maybe I have been sent the vented type instead?

I'll try and get some pics tomorrow when its light...

Thanks, Kieran

Have you fitted the pads as if they are wrong then you will have a massive gap where the rest of the disc should be!

Are you using 8.4" or 7.5" discs?

I am using 8.4" solid discs and yes, there is a large gap from the pad to the inside of the disc.

I didn't have time to bleed them but I presumed the pistons would just extend more on the inside until the pads make contact with the discs... I guess it sounds like I have the vented calipers?
