Bought a new indicator stalk for Maddie the other day because the other one was shot completely, wouldnt stay on high beam, and indicators wouldnt cancel.
Put it on the car, had a drive round, everything smashingly good.
Then the next day I took her out and they stopped cancelling no matter how big the corner was. (Much to the person behind me's apparent frustration doing 'duck' impressions with his hands to tell me that it was still on...I thought he was just a bit strange originally)
Any reason why this is? Like I said everything was great and it just seemed to have stopped overnight.
Ta very mucho.

This is probably of no use but i had my indicator stalk fail on my Citroen AX 'X' number of yerars ago where it wouldn't cancel. On the stalk was a plastic 'T' shape arrangement and the leg of the 'T' had snapped off. The piece had snapped off so cleanly that you couldn't tell anything was missing until i bought a new one and compared the two.
If you have had two failures and this is the problem then maybe you have a burr, or a foregin object which is breaking your indicator stalk... or like i said i could be talking *****.

You'll probably find that you didn't tighten the new stalk switch enough and it has slipped down the column, out of range of the cancelling pin.
