Forgot to say, it has an ultra light flywheel and back plate.

I don't honestly think that adding an alloy inlet and different carb will increase figures that much if they are that low in the first place... Standard 850 puts out about 30-35bhp,... those modifications should have come out with more than a 15bhp increase.

Guess it also depends on where the figures are taken, fly or wheel?

I'd suspect something more sinister like incorrect cam timing perhaps...



32bhp - 72mph top speed if i recall correctly.

How did you work that out not knowing gear ratios and final drives?

Those figures can't be right. A 286 in an 850 would be a right screamer and should produce really good power at those sort of revs

I've heard losts about this engine, and I know it is a good one, someone will want this.

there is no direct calculation between power and mph

Got my bog standard, leaking oil like nobodies business 850 to 75mph on a flat bit of motorway >_<

I can get pictures when I'm up there next.
It does come with a gearbox, but I'm not sureof the spec. I need to talk to the owner really, to find out some more details to help answer some of your questions.

I breifly spoke to the owner and he is going to take some pictures of the engine so I can post them on here. He said he will take the rocker cover off and take some pics of the rockers, take the clutch housing off and take some pics of in there and he will take some of the inlet and exhaust ports.

I will post them as soon as i get them.
