a stage one kit would be your best bet. from most of the usual mini suppliers.


OR

rip out all the interior and make use of the weight saved!

i got mine up to 70bhp with one

followed by a good modded head and 1.5 rockers i got 85 bhp

I'm a fan of weight reduction too, take stuff out you don't need, cheap only costs time.
pound for power nos is hard to beat.

isle of wight boy eeeeh stage one kit to start, move on to some other bits like head, rockers, cam.... maybe we should meet up somewhen and have a chat / drive

get a cylinder head, smooth out the the ports

Get your manifold, smooth that out..

thats about 10+% more power,torque,mpg, etc (like a S1k)
...all that costs is time...


if u want to go ruther, twin carb, u can pick'em up for about £50, and u can get a freeflow exhaust for about £50 ( second hand ).... just doing that to a 850 can take the 0-60 down to 9...

And really isn't just as simple as smoothing stuff out - infact that could be detrimrental so don't go messing about without knowing fully what you're doing, and why you're doing it...... Buy David Vizards book 'how to tune the A-series engine' and get reading
