As the title says I'm having issues with my rear shoes when I'm reversing, was happening a bit and then stopped but now it's back

Basically when I reverse it feels like the handbrake is on & it really hard to move the car but as soon as I got forward it's perfect. I'm no expert when it comes to drum brakes so is there anything I sould look out for or anything common that would cause this???

Thanks (oh and it's a '95 Cooper SPi)

i would say the pads have come loose from the springs, jack car, take wheel off, and take the drum off and see whats there, as with anything best to have a look first and see if you can see anything abnormal
