It's down as a Austin Morris Mini 1275 GT on the logbook.
Therefore putting him in the 'Garage' as a British Leyland would be incorrect

think yourselves lucky, the garage door is firmly shut for me as theres no scamp mk1, 2, or 3 option, and i'd get shot if i put it in as a moke.

Nobody was too good at keeping up with Aurrisleyblanover's frequent regroupings 'n name changes, certainly not the DVLA. It was never really Austin or Morris by the time the Mini went in to production, they were just trade names of BMC, then BL & Austin Rover. I think for the entire run of square nosed Minis they will have been sold under the British Leyland badge.
