The video to that song always reminded me of this classic 1960's film, probably due to the weird youngsters in the Land Rover: -

2Xz1utzILj4

Plus of course it heavily influenced Austin Powers movies.

You're very clever then as David Gilmour can really play the guitar like nobody else. Okay Hendrix was damned good too.

i don't think i have one all time favorite, there's too many differed songs that mean different things, but these two spring to mind.

I also can't pick one in particular as like Mr Anorak, different ones mean different things, close to being a favourite is Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, but others include The Jam - Start, Led Zeppelin's Trampled Underfoot, Muse - Starlight, Shiny Toy Guns - Le Disko, Queen - Lap of the Gods << big gap in that vid between Lap of the Gods Revisited and Lap of the Gods but I think it's worth the skip), Pulp - Mis-shapes, The Holloways - Generator, Beastie Boys - Body Movin (Fat Boy Slim Remix), Robots in Disguise - La Nuit, The Pipettes - Pull Shapes etc etc.

Good choice and I still know all the lyrics, plus this is one Beatles tracks that Mary Whitehouse tried to ban. Or at least get it censored when the 'Magical Mystery Tour' TV film got shown at Xmas 1967. But it went out in full and she was furious!: -

cqOKvonLrH8

There's even a recent Jim Carrey version: -

oPkytVdy5Us

Plus of course there's this version of it via the excellent and amazine Monty Python tribute to the history of The Beatles in their warts and all film called 'The Rutles' (All You Need Is Cash): -

U1y9BIjTSVk

Amazing and you can just dig those Brownie's, Nuns and large fluffy rabbits too. Oh and the police officers who are probably tripping?

 :)

My favorite song changes weekly. I'm going through a "Me and the Farmer" by the Housemartins phase at the moment.
But my mate was a taxi driver and when someone asked him to hurry he used to stick on the theme tune to James Bond. His tips were massive.

Well I was never really into 1980's music, but this track is just timeless and the video is suitably eerie too: -

HjK42fG-v6s

There's been loads of cover versions of that song, like the one on the creepy film 'The Craft', but the original is still the best.

I also always liked 'The Stone Roses' too (I loved the late 1980's/early 1990's indie scene) and I was going to provide the YouTube for 'Fools Gold', but I chose this one instead as I love the groovy music change half way through: -

e6QnK0yql8s

But I also loved the retro sounds of 'The Charlatans' and this song in particular with it's wild psychedelic organ sound at the end (could almost be the late 1960's): -

2evjp9qOzYQ

So there I am able to go beyond the 'Pink Floyd' and I used to play these 3 tracks over and over again. Great whilst racing along in the Mini.

:P =]
