I bought: -
A towing eye for Henny
Some in line fuel filters
A new rad cap for the 1275cc
Lots of stickers (including 2 personalised stickers labelled "Henrietta", which now have pride of place in the rear windows
A classic 'Austin' Badge for just a quid!

Well I’m well and truly burnt, completely knackered as well seeing as my day started with me setting of at 6am only for the mini to play up big time on the way down, but still managed to get there for half 8.
Soz I missed the photo by all of five minuets, I was buy another coil in the hope it would fix the mini, which so far on the way home it has, just the fuse box and alarm to do next, oh and the drivers door to which one of the clips fell of meaning I could open it from the inside.
Thanks for representing 1984 at short notice for the MCR 50 display and hope it was worth the early start!

Thanks for representing 1986 at short notice for the MCR 50 display and glad you enjoyed your first Mini show!

temp sender
fan (4 blade export)
thermostat - 88 degrees to 82 degrees
new bolt to tensioner
reverse flushing the cooling system (& forward)
i still had an erratic temp gauge :?:
it wasn't miss-firing or losing power or using any water or any water oil-mix
So i decided to go for a run to beaulieu to see what happened (after 50 miles local testing Saturday)
The result....
I got picked up by Keith who just happened to be wearing club colours
Then after i got home, i stripped semi to see what the problem was...
The gasket had failed, not between 2-3 or even 1-2 or 3-4, but look at the fire rings (silver bits around the pots), they have melted/discintegrated.
So i spent all day down the pub's whilst my good friend emalee was collecting bits from the show for me.
Semi is now fixed with a new head gasket, roll on next year!
