Golf kart wheels wouldn't go a miss on a car purely for show, but stick them on a road car & you're trouble, no?

I had a look on the net and found some 10x7 golf cart wheels in america that would look amazing on a mini! I have emailed the company to see if they would be dangerous or whether they would be ok and whther they do the wheels with the correct PCD. I have seen people putting 17" wheels on some of the golf carts which actually looked like normal car wheels, it's crazy lol. I'll let you all know if they reply.

Mate think about the weight & handling of a mini compared to a go-kart.

Yeah I do realise that, but if they are made from top quality materials and made to a really high standard, there's no reason why they couldn't work. These wheels are over £500 a set as far as I'm aware so they must be fairly well made. Even if they weren't safe, they'd look awesome for show like you say!

This has been talked about before bro, pretty sure they aren't safe to use. Don't quote me on that, just from what I remember ;)

Fair do's mate, I was only aking the company to see for sure. I was the one who sent JWB moto the message saying that they could well be golf cart wheels, because I was wary about it from the beginning.

Hears one of the brochures I found, some of the wheels would look mint on a mini!
http://mmvehicles.co...rts/PA8/PA8.htm
But like it has been said, I don't know if they would be safe!

Ive sourced the main supplier of these wheels and hve emailed them asking the load rating for ech wheel. If its around 750kgs per wheel id be happy to use them. It ll depends then on whether i can find a decent shipping company that wont rip me a new ring piece.

I will report my findings

There is a company that does golf cart wheels and they have been sucessfully fitted to minis with no problems. The trouble you face is that they are not e marked as suitable for road use in the EU. Theres a guy in the US who has fitted a lot of them and another in NZ that has and all is well with every set.
Their rules are different though, i am working on this.

Car will fail MOT and if you get pulled over you will get in trouble.
