Thinking about it again what I said might only apply to painted on plates, not stickers. I'd have to look it up. I'm fairly sure yours does need to be vertical though, it's only the historic type plate that you are allowed not just any old thing you want. You say that you can't see the registration when you are close to the vehicle which pretty much means it's not permitted, there are rules about where it must be clearly visible from.

Lots of people get away with breaking the law, doesn't mean you will and it doesn't make it right. Your car already has a producer recorded against it for mis-represented registration so it may be on a hot list. Do you know that if you get issued three seperate warning for this you go to court and get a £1000.00 fine rather than just a fixed penalty. If they decide that you've been doing it deliberately despite multiple warnings they can take the registration off you (that is normally done if you have a number that you are represnting as a word or a name though). Then you have to go through getting your car re-registered and from the sound of it yours wouldn't be likely to pass the VIC check needed. At the very least you'd loose historic tax status on the car, at worst they might crush it.

No I'm not but several of our members are.

I really can't work out what most of the rest of your post is meant to say I'm afraid.
