I have a 1980 GT (registered in '81 though), 3 previous owners, the last owner was the dealer who I bought from who had it a year or so, the owner before that had it about 20-odd years and kept it garaged and the first owner was related or knew the second owner and had also had it in a garage! So luckily the only welding that needed doing was the rear valance which is still work in progress

There were only around 120,000 GT's ever made I think, they stopped making them in 1980 so ours were a couple of the last made, it would be interesting to see how many are still out and about!

I've also bought all new classic cobra interior in black, seats door cards, rear bench cover and black head lineing
My front and rear hubs have been blasted and zinc plated and new bearings and ball joints added, they look mint!

I've had my bumpers power coated gloss black to match the roof which will look nice. I've bought my L2B ticket so thats my dead line so lets hope it goes together nicely.
p.s i'll add loads more pictures as soon as I get my car back from the body shop.

then primerd it up

and it ended up looking like this (what you think)

only had it back since 5pm on 30/4/2010 and in the day we have fitted the wireing loom, heater box, dash and rais head lineing, glass, carpet, rear bench and rear brakes.

working hard to try and make it to the london to brighton run

any i was wondering if you done any work to the scuttle area, im just looking for a picture, of what it should look like below the scuttles, as all i got is a big hole, can see right to the ground now the scuttle has been cut away, im sure there must be a panel of some sort that goes there,
i got a bit more work than you on my clubby, just spent the day cutting out the drivers side floor front to back, pockets ect,
but i think thats spot on what you have done, hope mine ends up that good
