dropped the gearbox onto the engine tonight

alittle subframe mod for this upcoming weekend

 

the frame was build for some 13x7 -7et wheels, but I have some 13x6 +12 wheels

so with the front suspension to low, the tires rub the subframe when turning all the way

 

so im going to change that this weekend

Subframe mods are done and I painted it
And last night I dropped the drivetrain into it

Today I'm going to get Honda gearbox oil and
I will have the car on the ground tonight on four wheels

they were a lot of work but I think the ride and handling will pay for it self in the long run

 

those coils wont bind up like the ones that are built for mini's

 

they are 2.5inch dia, 9inch length coils rated at 300lbs each

I finally got the front coilovers mounted to the point that I'm happy with it

lifted up the shifter 2.5inches

and lifted up the park brake handle

to tuck the exhaust up higher into the tunnel

Started to clean up the car for its inspection at the dmv

The mini now has carpet in it and Nissan micra seats and shifter cover fitted
The floor matts are from a mk1 metro
I need to pressure wash them, they look a bit out of place being so much lighter in color

mounted a rear bumper

 

have to remount it now and bed line the bumper
