Hi to all I have a 1988 mini advantage that i have just put a 1275 engine in pulcked from a metro. i have 3 questions that i carnt figure out.

1) Can i use the metro electric dizzy system on my mini which i think has ballest ignition and if so how do i wire it up ? i have the coil to match the dizzy also.

2) As the metro head had not got a bypass hose is it ok to use a blanking sleve or drill the 8 small holes in the thermostat that is recomended as i am not able to add a expansion tank due to engine bay space.... and finaly

3) The metro head has not got a drilling for the heater control valve, , is it possable to put the pipe from the heater to the old contol unit into a water fed manifold... then add a pipe to the lower part of the metro thermostat housing .... just to keep the flow.

Thanks alot everyone look forward to hearing your solutions.

- Pink/White ballast wire needs to be disconnected from the coil.
- White/Black wire from dizzy to coil no longer needed
- White/Yellow wire

-Pink/White balast wire needs to be removed and replace with a 12v feed to the coil +ve with an inline fuse that is live when your ignition switch is
-White/Yellow from coil +ve to starter isn't needed
-White/Black wire from dizzy to coil -ve isnt needed there still will be one white/back wire that runs off to the instrutment cluster

hope this helps
