well well ladies and gents....after lees problems and problems we got back yesterday and figured we'd work on his car....such was the great plan .
anyway several showers and starts and stops later, we worked like trojans to get the little engine back in and everything attached that should be...
the outcome :grin:

cheers for putting the video up taz and thanks for all your help
finally got all driveshafts on and done up for the final time
full exhaust system on
and started with the power cable from the batery just need some p clips to fix it to the subframes
nearly there... :grin:

cars now running and driving (about 5 metres haha) but i have a problem as the plate for mounting the throttle and choke cables (between the carb and inlet) look wrong theres one bit with a slit and one with a cut out kind of hole but the cables dont seem to fit right and i need some pics of engine bays with the cable set up visable thanks
i'l post some more pics of the car when i take some this week

hif38 i think its the one that looks like the hif44 but smaller (sorry not up on my carbs) do i need different throttle and choke cables to fit?

had a few more problems of late the advance diaphragm bit of the dizzy wasn't working so had to replace that re routed the exhaust slightly and lengthened the mid pipe to make it all fit alittle better tomorrow i'm taking a sicky to buy a new throttle cable and put some petrol in it to run it properly then can sort the interior ready for maybe its first test drive off the driveway haha cant wait
the roll cage is now bolted into placei quite fancy the front half now after seeing all the crashes recently i thought minis were supposed to grip the road really well?
anyway i'l get some more pictures up asap

right got aload more done and actually took it for a drive woohoo

engine bay all clean nasty rust on bonnet but i've got a fibreglass one to go on with some bonnet pins at a later date hope you like should be driving it sooon cant wait

oh the skip you wouldnt believe how many times my wing mirrors have been in there hardest part of the restoration i swear
i am actually quite taken by the seats if only my room was bigger i'd have them in there to sit on i might just get one bucket and keep a chav throne :grin:
taking thursday and friday off sick haha gotta finish it

got all the arches on drove the car round the block and it rubs really badly so i raised it up and it still rubs WHAT DO I DO? i want the low racer look (haha) and i have spax adjustable dampers so i set the rears to 10 clicks out of 28 and the fronts to 6 how do people get that low look i'm after i've drilled the holes in the body now so i dont want to be moving the arches if possible
