I brought the bus thing up because a girl who drives a bus I get only looks about 19 if that and a few other lads that drive it don't look over 21. I had a look here Direct Gov

I'd take that as saying you have to be 18 but 21 if carrying passengers (which I missed when first looking) so I was semi wrong.

Anyway, just looked on Krispy Kreme website and they have them in Manchester, I might go get a box tomorrow at dinner :P

couple of illegal drivers where i live then. at least 2 guys I went to school with in the same year as me are bus drivers, and I'm only just about to turn 20. And they've been driving buses (with passengers) for a good year or two. Busted!

You can be a bus driver at 18...

1) while learning to drive or taking your passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) test or Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) initial qualification

2) after passing a PCV test and CPC initial qualification, you can drive under any of the following conditions:

driving on a regular service where the route does not exceed 50 km
not engaged in the carriage of passengers
while undergoing a national vocational training course to obtain a CPC initial qualification
3) after passing a PCV test before 10 September 2008 and driving under a bus operator's licence, or minibus permit, or community bus permit any of the following apply:

driving on a regular service where the route does not exceed 50km
not engaged in the carriage of passengers
driving a vehicle of a class included in sub-category D1

And absolutely nothing wrong with a rersponsible learner driver taking his car out with a responsible experienced driver supervising.
And Joewb clearly has the right attitude.

BACK ON TOPIC...

There is a tesco that also sells Krispy Kreme doughnuts! for anyone who lives near me (ru55boy) the tesco's on the A217, sutton bypass, sells them too i've been informed.
definitely worth the trip and the money.
