is it a new engine?

if so could just be tight and needs a good strong battery to get it to turn over to run it in

no just the heads been worked abit, still have the problem of low compression in cylinder 1. its down with a guy at the minute whos gonna run a few tests. but he said if its that hard to turn over, its possibly the crank.
the bit i dont understand is when the engine was out and the side casing was off, i was fit to turn it over at the crank with a spanner. but no its deadly :xxx:

im either thinking its the valves or else the piston rings! 1st run gave us 15psi dry, 2nd run showed 40psi wet, an the 3rd run after a drop of paraffin gave us 60psi. so if its not the head and not the rings, i think things cud get alot worse for me! lol.
