Hi Guys

After a drive i had to do something under my bonnet..i touched my ballast coil and it was very hot now to me that doesnt seem right..do you think it is a sign that its going?..this also could link to a problem with my engine not starting on short periods away from car..i have to leave for over an hour to cool down then start it again

Its not over heating though!..its always below half way on gauge

If it is getting hot it is encountering resistance, check the connections and make sure the connecting surfaces are clean. also that guage sooo lies as mine overheats ALOT and the guage is always hovering about half or under :(

Also running a non ballast coil in a ballasted car without the appropiate rewire will cause coil overheating.
to be honest i dont remeber if systems are the same on spi car..i have to give a look.
