17 people, new record, think 66 is wrong or a typo.

I'm pretty sure that on a Noel Edmunds TV Show back in the 1990's (or perhaps a bit earlier?), they managed to cram a total of 24 teenagers into a Mini. Although there were also a few standing outside the car on the boot opening lip.

I was going to say children, but I can't imagine they'd allow a load of kids to cram themselves into a Mini with the possibility of suffocating to death just for TV? (although Noel's 1980's TV Show called 'The Late, Late Breakfast Show' was axed after a contestant died after falling from a great height after doing a stunt, so who knows?)

Either way, I'm pretty sure that the front seats were removed, so that would probably be seen as cheating?

;)

On Sunday 11th May, during the IMM 2008, we attempted the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of Minis.
Today we recieved the official statement of Guinness that the P&O Ferries World Record Attempt was succesfull. We broke the previous record and set the new record to 884 Minis!

We would like to thank everybody involved in breaking the old record and especially P&O Ferries, Het Notarieel, the complete GWR IMM 2008 Team and their coordinator Richard Faas.

Well done to all Mini Clanners who attended.
