Dad seems to think I'll be painting it myself.

Im happy doing the doors, bonnet and boot. Happy to do all the coats on the body, just not the last heavy, wet coat. I would probably be fine, but I dont want to ruin all my hard work!

So I'll try persuade him to do me the last coat!

lads i know off at your age couldn't be arsed to do

Not going to say its easy. Its damn hard!

Today, I was ready for putting the damn thing on ebay! The day was going so well, all the little jobs where getting done, and the inside was ready to paint.

Then. Disaster fell. Literally. I had stupidly put the tin of paint on the roof of the car and then decided to rub inside the boot with the orbital DA sander. Bad idea.

Down fell the tin of paint, 5 feet (the mini is on a lift), lid came off. 1 litre of nice paint on the floor.

Although the colour did look rather nice. It didnt help, the fact it was in a puddle on the floor.

Anyway, I saved what I could, filtered the paint a few times and painted the inside anyway.

I got some pictures but its hard to show what its like, as it was dark and the camera flash gives a false colour all together but without, it looks rather dark, like british racing green.

Anyway, the colour is Almond Green. Heres a sneak peak, what do you all think?

Nice colour, not a green fan, too suoerituos, green = bad luck, as u found out lol

Wish I could spray and have the tools to do it. What paint is the anyways? 2k or celly?

Celly is poo. In my opinion anyway.

I dont think it was bad luck. Just stupididy. I also stood on my windscreen and smashed that too. Arnt I good. Ah well, excuse for a tinted one!

Rattle cans will be expensive mate.

See if a local sprayer will "rent" you their booth and tools?

Or if you get it all prepped, alot of sprayers like 50 quid in their back pocket for putting the top coat on!

Hours wise... jeez. I dread to think.. been on it since last summer... On day a week, most days in all the holidays, countless late nights.

1000-1500 hours?
